EXPERIENCE

Open Goal ProjectCo-Founder, Chief Operating Officer - December 2015 - Present

  • Co-founded Open Goal Project, developing it from a vision to a 501(c)(3) non-profit that has now served high-level soccer and supplementary programming to thousands of boys and girls from underserved communities.

  • Manages all aspects of OGP’s operations including oversight of annual organizational budget.

  • Has managed and directed dozens of staff members, hundreds of on-site programming sessions, and oversees organization’s fundraising and strategic partnerships, working with major brands on joint programs.

  • Directs organization’s communications and marketing strategies, generating coverage in national press outlets like ESPN.com, Yahoo! Sports, The Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, and more.

WJLA-ABC7 Executive Producer, Digital Content - June 2015 - March 2018

  • Managed team of 8 digital producers who covered news 24/7 for ABC7/WJLA.

  • Also managed online storytelling and social engagement strategies for dozens of on-air reporters.

  • Oversaw and produced web copy, multimedia content, and worked to enhance audience experience on the station's website, apps and social media platforms.

  • Developed strategy to grow all of the station's social platforms and online and mobile products, creating and executing plans and building strategic projects to enhance content, social engagement and online branding.

USA TODAY Social Marketing Manager - 2015

  • Led the development of USA TODAY’s social marketing strategy, coordinating with USA TODAY news department and managing agency relationships on special social initiatives.

WUSA9-CBS Social Media Editor/Social Marketing Manager - 2012-2015

  • Created and managed station’s Give Joy initiative, which leveraged the power of on-air and digital promotion to empower station’s audience to directly send thousands of toys to kids from low-income households during the holiday season. 

  • Created and managed station’s Bring Them Home initiative, which leveraged the power of on-air and social media sharing to empower our audience to help spread the word about missing children throughout the region.

  • Developed strategy to grow the station's social audience, creating and executing plans and building strategic projects to enhance content, social engagement and online branding.
